How To Survive an Aerial Dance Rehearsal

A Little Padding for the Hips....
Anyone who has taken an Aerial Dance class knows that the work can make you sore in unusual places. The rehearsal process for Aerial Dance is an exaggerated version of the class experience. We repeat moves over and over until the technique blends with the mechanics. The process can lead to painful bruises and scratches unless you come prepared.

Shoulder Padding for a Somersault on the Rope

Janet is our Aerial Dance Vetran - she comes to rehearsal with padding that fits anywhere. It isn't a flattering look (at times it does make me laugh!) but it does the job. She can repeat these tricky moves for hours at a time.
