FBN celebrates MLK!

This year FBN celebrated the lasting legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by holding our annual Scholarship for Students of Color over the MLK Holiday weekend.  Dr. King had a dream that integration and acceptance of all people, regardless of color, would become a reality for our country.  FBN's annual Scholarship for Students of Color is a way for our company to honor Dr. King's dream by allowing all students an equal opportunity to study aerial dance.

Here are some photos of our scholarship class:

The students that attended the audition were full of positive energy and it was a pleasure having them in the studio alongside some of our more experienced students, past scholarship recipients, and company members.  Many of the attendees, having never studied aerial trapeze work before, were soon "addicted" and couldn't get enough!

Congratulations to Bibi Nahim, Hilda Hwang, and Shannon Kim, our 2013 Scholarship recipients!  All three ladies were invited to attend FBN's 3-class Beginner's Mind Workshop free of charge.

Thank you to everyone who attended the audition and expressed an interest in our scholarship program.  If you are interested in auditioning for our 2014 scholarship keep checking our website for updates and information!
